Do you understand the chakras in your body? The knowledge of the chakras is critical when it comes to chakra meditation. Chakra meditation involves focusing on each chakra energy in your body in order to provide a sense of calm and healing. There are seven chakra energies located in various parts of your body. Each chakra involves a specific area of your consciousness. This perception then affects the organ in the associated chakra.

Following are details of the seven chakras. These can be used as a guide to chakra meditation. They help you to understand what areas of the body are affected and what relationship these areas have with your consciousness.

The Seven Chakras:

1.) Crown Chakra: This chakra is located at the top of your head and is associated with your brain and nervous system. It is associated with the Pineal Gland and the color violet. It is concerned with the sense of empathy and perception of unity or separation. It involves are relationship with our biological father and authority.

2.) Brow Chakra: This chakra is located at your forehead and is associated with your forehead and temples. It is associated with your Pituitary Gland and the color Indigo. It is concerned with extra sensory perception and your inner being spirit. Your true motivations compose this chakra.

3.) Throat Chakra: This chakra is located at the base of your throat and is associated with your throat, neck, arms, and hands. It is associated with the Thyroid Gland and the color sky blue. It is concerned with your sense of hearing, how you express and receive things, and your intuition.

4.) Heart Chakra: This chakra is located at the center of the chest is associated with your heart and circulatory system. It is associated with the Thymus Gland and the color emerald green. It is concerned with the sense of touch, the feel of both your body and others' bodies, and how you recognize love.

5.) Solar Plexus Chakra: This chakra is located at your solar plexus and is associated with muscular and skin system as well as the organs in the solar plexus region. It is associated with the Pancreas and the color yellow. It is concerned with eyesight, how well you can be your true self, and your ego.

6.) Orange Chakra: This chakra is located at the center of the abdomen and is associated with your reproductive system including your sexual organs. It is associated with the Gonads and the color orange. It is concerned with the sense of taste, emotional feelings, food, and sex.

7.) Root Chakra: This chakra is located at the perineum and is associated with your teeth, bones, lymph system, lower extremities, nose, and elimination system. It is associated with Adrenal glands and the color red. It is concerned with your sense of smell, survival, security, and trust. It also involves our relationship with our mother and nature.

You can use chakra meditation to focus on alleviating any stress or problems in the chakra areas. You can utilize the connection between your body and consciousness. Chakra meditation can act as a guide to a more peaceful state of mind and improved physical health.
